Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup bread crumbs

1 large egg

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 cup beef broth

1 cup cream of mushroom soup (or homemade if preferred)

2 cups frozen mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, corn)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Meat Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, bread crumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is well incorporated.

Shape Patties: Form the beef mixture into 4 evenly sized patties, about 1 inch thick.

Brown the Patties: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sear the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side, until they are nicely browned. Transfer the browned patties to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.

Make the Sauce: In a separate bowl, whisk together the beef broth and cream of mushroom soup until smooth. Pour this mixture evenly over the patties in the baking dish.

Add Vegetables: Scatter the frozen mixed vegetables over the top of the patties and sauce.

Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Then, remove the foil, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top, and bake uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Garnish & Serve: Remove the dish from the oven, let it cool slightly, then garnish with fresh chopped parsley. Serve warm with mashed potatoes or rice to absorb the delicious sauce.
