Ingredients

1 lb (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced

3 tablespoons oyster sauce

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 onion, thinly sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1-inch piece fresh ginger, grated

1 bell pepper (red or green), sliced

1 cup snap peas

2 green onions, chopped

1 teaspoon sesame oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Cooked rice or noodles, for serving

Instructions

In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

Heat vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef to the pan in a single layer. Sear for about 2-3 minutes until browned, then stir-fry until just cooked through. Remove and set aside.

In the same pan, add the onion, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Toss in the bell pepper and snap peas. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are vibrant and slightly tender.

Return the cooked beef to the pan, adding the sesame oil. Mix everything thoroughly and stir-fry for an additional minute.

Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper if needed. Remove from heat, garnish with chopped green onions, and serve warm over cooked rice or noodles.
