Ingredients

1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain

2 cups broccoli florets

1 medium onion, sliced

4 cloves garlic, minced

1-inch piece ginger, grated

3 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, mix the sliced beef with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, and black pepper. Let it marinate for about 15-20 minutes.

Cook the Broccoli: In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until bright green. Remove the broccoli from the pan and set aside.

Sauté Aromatics: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the sliced onion, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Sauté for about 2 minutes until fragrant.

Stir-Fry the Beef: Increase the heat to high, add the marinated beef to the skillet, and cook for 3-5 minutes until browned and cooked through.

Combine Ingredients: Return the broccoli to the skillet, add the oyster sauce and remaining 2 tablespoons of soy sauce. Toss everything together and cook for an additional 2 minutes, ensuring the sauce evenly coats the beef and broccoli.

Finish with Sesame Oil: Drizzle the sesame oil over the dish and mix well.

Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions. Serve hot over cooked rice.
