1 lb (450g) chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces

12 oz (340g) rotini pasta

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided

6 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Zest of 1 lemon (optional, for added brightness)

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the rotini pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving about ½ cup of the pasta cooking water.

    Sauté Chicken: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the chicken pieces, seasoning them with salt and pepper, and sauté until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

      Make the Garlic Butter: In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
