2 large chicken breasts, boneless and skinless

8 oz rotini pasta

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the rotini and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, drain the rest, and set aside.

    Prepare the Chicken: While the pasta is cooking, season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature of 165°F). Remove the chicken from the skillet and allow it to rest for a few minutes before slicing it into strips.
