Ingredients

8 oz fettuccine or your preferred pasta

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 tablespoons olive oil, divided

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Red chili flakes (optional, for heat)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and set aside.

Sauté the Shrimp: In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

Prepare the Garlic Sauce: In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.

Make the Creamy Base: Reduce the heat to medium-low, then pour in the heavy cream. Stir to combine and heat through. Gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.

Combine Ingredients: Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet along with the cooked pasta. Toss everything together, adding small amounts of reserved pasta water as needed to achieve desired creaminess.

Finish the Dish: Stir in the lemon juice, and adjust seasoning with additional salt, pepper, or red chili flakes if desired.

Serve: Plate the creamy garlic shrimp pasta and garnish with fresh parsley for a pop of color.
