12 oz penne pasta

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

8 oz mushrooms, sliced (cremini or white button)

1 cup asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
