Ingredients

4 slices of thick-cut garlic bread

4 slices of sharp cheddar cheese

2 tablespoons of unsalted butter, softened

2 cloves of garlic, minced

1 teaspoon of dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)

Pinch of salt

Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Optional: 1 tablespoon of grated parmesan cheese for extra flavor

Instructions

Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with minced garlic, dried herbs, salt, and pepper. If using, add in the grated parmesan cheese for an extra savory kick.

Assemble the Sandwich: Spread the garlic butter mixture generously on one side of two slices of garlic bread. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of the buttered side of each slice.

Complete the Sandwich: Place the other two slices of garlic bread on top of the cheese, buttered side facing outward, creating two complete sandwiches.

Grill the Sandwiches: Heat a non-stick skillet or a griddle over medium heat. Once hot, carefully place the sandwiches on the skillet. Grill for about 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown and crispy.

Flip and Finish: Gently flip the sandwiches using a spatula. Grill the other side for an additional 3-4 minutes, pressing down lightly with the spatula to melt the cheese thoroughly.

Check for Doneness: Ensure both sides are golden and crispy, and the cheese is melted. Remove from heat, let cool for a minute, then slice in half.

Serve: Enjoy your Garlic Bread Grilled Cheese warm, optionally paired with a side of marinara sauce for dipping!
