Ingredients

8 Hawaiian rolls, sliced in half

4 large eggs

1 cup whole milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon brown sugar

Pinch of salt

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Fresh pineapple chunks, for serving

Maple syrup, for drizzling

Powdered sugar, for garnish

Fresh mint leaves, for garnish

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, brown sugar, and salt until well combined.

Preheat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a tablespoon of butter, allowing it to melt and coat the surface.

Dip each half of the Hawaiian roll into the egg mixture, making sure to soak it well on both sides.

Place the soaked rolls on the hot skillet, cooking for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and slightly crispy.

Repeat the process, adding more butter to the skillet as needed, until all the rolls are cooked.

Serve the French toast warm, topped with fresh pineapple chunks, a generous drizzle of maple syrup, and a dusting of powdered sugar. Garnish with fresh mint leaves for added flavor and visual appeal.
