Ingredients

2 ripe bananas, sliced diagonally

2 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

1 tablespoon honey (for drizzling, optional)

Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat until it starts to bubble.

Add the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg (if using), and a pinch of salt. Stir until the mixture becomes a thick, bubbling syrup.

Carefully add the sliced bananas to the skillet, making sure they are coated in the syrup. Gently toss them in the pan to avoid breaking the slices.

Cook the bananas for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and caramelized.

Drizzle with vanilla extract during the last minute of cooking and continue to toss gently.

Once cooked, remove from heat and transfer the bananas to a serving dish.

Optional: Drizzle with honey for added sweetness and garnish with fresh mint leaves for an herbal contrast.

Serve warm, either on their own or as a delightful topping over ice cream or pancakes.
