Ingredients

1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided

1 bell pepper, sliced (red, green, or a mix)

1 large onion, sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

2 green onions, chopped for garnish

Optional: Cooked white rice or noodles for serving

Instructions

Marinate the Steak: In a bowl, combine sliced flank steak, soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well to coat the steak evenly and let it marinate for 15 minutes.

Prepare the Vegetables: While the steak marinates, slice the bell pepper and onion. Mince the garlic and ginger.

Stir-Fry the Steak: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the marinated steak in a single layer. Cook without stirring for about 2 minutes or until the bottom is browned, then stir-fry for another 2 minutes until the steak is just cooked through. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.

Cook the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the sliced onions, bell peppers, minced garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes, until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

Combine and Finish: Add the cooked steak back into the skillet with the vegetables, tossing everything together. Cook for another 1-2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Adjust seasoning with more soy sauce if desired.

Serve: Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot over cooked rice or noodles.
