Ingredients

1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced

2 cups frozen French fries

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

1 medium onion, diced

1 bell pepper, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon taco seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

4 large burrito wraps

1/4 cup sour cream

1/4 cup salsa

1 avocado, sliced (optional)

Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Cook the French Fries: Begin by baking or frying the frozen French fries according to package instructions until they are crispy and golden brown. Set aside.

Prepare the Steak Filling: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the diced onion and bell pepper, cooking until softened (about 3-4 minutes). Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute, until fragrant.

Cook the Steak: Add the thinly sliced flank steak to the skillet. Sprinkle with taco seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the steak is browned and cooked to your preference.

Combine Cheese: Once the steak is cooked, reduce the heat to low, then sprinkle shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese over the top. Stir until the cheese is melted and fully combined with the steak mixture.

Assemble the Burritos: Lay a burrito wrap on a clean surface. Spoon a portion of the steak and cheese mixture onto the center, followed by a handful of crispy French fries. Add a dollop of sour cream and salsa, and if desired, a few slices of avocado.

Fold and Roll: Carefully fold in the sides of the wrap, then roll it from the bottom up tightly to enclose the filling. Repeat this process for the remaining wraps.

Grill Burritos (Optional): If desired, heat a grill pan over medium heat. Place the filled burritos seam-side down on the pan and grill for about 2-3 minutes per side, until the wrap is golden and slightly crispy.

Serve: Cut the burritos in half and sprinkle with fresh cilantro. Serve with extra salsa on the side.
