Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped

1 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably whole wheat)

1/4 cup onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp Dijon mustard

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tbsp olive oil

4 whole grain burger buns

Optional toppings: avocado slices, tomato, lettuce, and a dollop of garlic aioli

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated but avoid overmixing.

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape into burger patties, about 1-inch thick.

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the burger patties carefully.

Cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature of the chicken burgers reaches 165°F (74°C) and they are golden brown on the outside.

While the burgers are cooking, lightly toast the whole grain burger buns in a separate pan or on a grill.

Once burgers are done, assemble the burgers by placing a chicken patty on each bun. Add your desired toppings, such as sliced avocado, tomato, lettuce, or a dollop of garlic aioli.

Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious White Cheddar and Spinach Chicken Burgers!
