Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1 cup fresh spinach, chopped

1 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded

1/4 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 clove garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

4 whole wheat burger buns

Optional toppings: sliced tomatoes, avocado, or aioli

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, minced garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well combined.

Form the mixture into four equal-sized patties, pressing gently to ensure they hold together.

Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken patties to the skillet.

Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).

During the last minute of cooking, place the burger buns cut-side down on the skillet to toast lightly.

Remove the burgers and buns from the skillet. Assemble your burgers by placing a chicken patty on the bottom bun, followed by your choice of toppings, and finish with the top bun.

Serve immediately with a side of sweet potato fries or your favorite salad.
